I had a one-night stay here back in September to cap off my trip since I had an early morning flight out of Malpensa. I arrived off the Malpensa Express train late in the evening and the location was much more convenient than I expected. I did use a suite night upgrade award to avoid them expiring and it was confirmed. The clerk checking me in was very professional and courteous.

The layout of the hotel seemed pretty self-explanatory but in reality was quite confusing since the signage was inadequate. Eventually, I found my room which despite being called a Junior Suite felt more like just a regular room made larger rather than a dedicated suite. At least it was relatively modern instead of feeling tired and work because of the dark wood tones. A welcome gift of gummies was nice. What was not so nice, however, was the lounge, which was made out of temporary walls and other makeshift barriers plopped in the middle of a wide hallway and was serving a VERY sad selection of sweet cakes/pastries and drinks. Even worse was the restaurant where the website would error out every single time that you attempted to make a reservation, and the restaurant refused my walk-up request for a table. Thus, I was forced to get room service where the food I ordered was average at best.

In the end, this is a hotel that is booked for conveniences sake, which is something you pay for (my rate was 237 EUR). There seem to be other options nearby like a Moxy, Holiday Inn, and Crowne Plaza but they don’t seem to be connected to the terminal. The room itself and the front desk staff were both pretty good but the lounge itself was dismal and the restaurant website being down needs fixing immediately. If I find myself having to stay at MXP overnight again, sure, I’d be fine with that; hopefully the issues from my previous stay are addressed.
