flytoeat I think you are right about this. A quick look at FlightAware shows over 700 MAX aircraft in the air I write this. And that's just right now. I think if there were real systemic issues with the aircraft, we would have more evidence of it. This latest incident (and the findings in subsequent inspections) strikes me as statistically minor (although I know there were dozens of people on the 1/5 AS1282 flight who might feel differently). For sure, Boeing needs to do better, but this certainly appears to be human error, and less of a design flaw.
