Travel a lot to DC, stayed here last week on business for the first time (usually I'm at the PH, GH, or HP Georgetown). Couple data points as a Globalist:
- The Globalist Lounge is basically a hotel business center with a couple computers, printer, coffee pod machine, and fridge full of bottled water. No snacks unless you count the sugar packets and honey jars. Not a club lounge in any meaningful sense. Staff member told me it was in a pilot phase and may change later on.
- Booked the cheapest room. App showed upgrade to King room. At actual hotel check in I had to ask if there were any standard suites available and was upgraded to an Executive Suite.
- Breakfast buffet was good, and the $20 market credit was welcome in the absence of a lounge.
- Hotel is very convenient to Union Station and Capitol offices. Otherwise the location is a bit of a dead zone. Other Hyatt properties in DC are right in the middle of things; this one is a few blocks from restaurant clusters or metro stops.
- The rooms are in need of a glow-up, nuff said.
