Typically, when a hotel is sold, the new owners tend to honor prior reservations. In your case the hotel sold but it is now closed, any idea who was the buyer in November? You could reach out to them and see if they offer a replacement accommodation in a sister property. Have you checked with your credit card that was used for payment, perhaps they have a traveler's protection and that can help you. 30k points is pitiful, but ultimately Choice is only responsible for the stay, airfare & car rental is not part of the responsibility for Choice, unless you bought a package through them. This is the same as if the flight is delayed and you arrive a day latter and you miss your first night accommodation, the airline will not compensate you for the missed night. What was the name of the property in question?
