The date it left the LC is tough to pin down, because for a couple of years the hotel carried dual branding, it was named The Westin Palace Madrid, but it was also still part of The Luxury Collection.

Starwood did that with a few of the properties they moved from the LC into Westin branding. The Westin Excelsior and The Westin Europa & Regina in Venice both carried dual branding for a while too.
