I don't honestly think it's always as simple as that so I am struggling to agree with you here (but I can see your thinking)

Just off the top of my head I can think of one person I know (not an FTr) who is a little timid by nature, very non-confrontational and she flies fairly frequently ish and she does not like to cause any fuss. On one of her flights the CC were bordering on rude to her when she, rightly. complained of the meal being luke warm. She thought better of it than escalate it and complained a day later. It was more of a polite one at that.

I've known her for a very long time so would believe her, maybe the cabin crew person had another view? Who knows.
