I've never had an issue getting ahold of a Centurion concierge. I don't use the concierge a ton, but they save me a TON of time when it comes to booking flights, changing flights, or handling complex matters with the airlines. Haven't challenged them to secure me a table at a hard-to-book restaurant (primarily because I just bring a Benjamin with me that I hand to the maitre'd, for any booked-restaurant that I want to go to).

I didn't get my invite until I updated my ASSET and INCOME page. My company was valuated at higher number than expected a few years ago - but I didn't update my net worth until last spring, shortly before receiving the invite. So for those who want one - you need to update that area. Don't lie (lol) - but give the most optimistic picture that you can defend.

I got an Amex Plat Business in 2019 (and had an Amex Blue Business before that). My wife and I opened our company from nothing in 2016 (went nationwide within 3 years). Literally was overturning couch cushions looking for grocery change in 2015 - dining on A5 steaks regularly by 2018. I'm really proud of me and my wife. 2021, 2022 and 2023 were over $2 million+ on Amex card spending (I believe 2019 and 2020 reached over $2million as well).

We had 3 different cards for our business, including a gold card for marketing (major points benefits for marketing costs on the gold business card). All cards were linked to one business account in our business's name, including employee cards - but - your spend should primarily be on the Amex Plat Business, imo.

I've had this card scanned everywhere and have had only 2 people recognize it (lol). If you're a single guy tho, and you're 'searching' - chicks will be impressed with it, take my word for it (but don't marry the girl who is impressed with this card - marry the gal who loves you, even if you're poor).

I hope the card carries more benefits - but overall, have had a good experience.

My wishlist for the card?
Would love to see them open a 5-star restaurant in LA or Socal (much like the one in NY). Love the PS terminal benefit. Would love to see Amex build relationships again with hard-to-get-into restaurants and get their centurions into those places.

~100k of the spend this year was on Patek watches and Hermes for wife

~500k in spend from May to Dec 2023. Should be on pace to spend close to 1-1.5m this year. Have a couple waitlists for watches coming up this year so ~500k of that being at Patek alone. Any data points with super high luxury spend like this speeding up centurion invite?
