Hotel Montera was very impressive - yeah, it’s a Hilton, so it’s not like they roll out the upgrade red carpet, but that bed was worth it - here are my impressions:
- Upgraded to a King Esperanza room - not sure what that means, and I did see Grana rooms available online - didn’t ask further at check-in
- Bed was exceedingly amazing - super plush mattress, super plush covers, super plush pillows - really sad I had to wake up at 7
- Shower pressure from the rainfall head was strong and good
- Noise isolation from the outside was really good
- Given large water bottles to refill at hallway stations on each floor - drank more water than I usually would
- No apparent streaming options on the TV
- Given a cocktail voucher at check-in - menu posted below - had a good margarita
- Housekeeper brought churro-flavored truffles from San Gines (not sure if turndown or Diamond gift)
- Tissues were half-sized - a bit annoying
- Did not ask about late checkout due to Noon flight
- Uber to airport was significantly cheaper at 17 EUR vs. normal taxi cost
- Breakfast for Diamonds starts at 7 and included some really good cakes (carrot, lemon, and chocolate) on the buffet - had a good ham and cheese sandwich with soft bread and some french toast (they also had Benedicts, etc) - restaurant tables are a bit low and most of the seating options are couches
- The toilet seat was noticeably small, or maybe I’m just large
I would return for the amazing bed.
