After a drink service with packaged nuts, choices for dinner on this flight were described as chicken thighs or a vegetable gratin, and I went with the chicken, which reached my tray about 45 minutes after takeoff. Verdict: deliciously tender in a creamy sauce, teamed up with potatoes and green beans. The salad was fresh but otherwise unremarkable, and the roll was only useful for sopping up leftover sauce, and the side in the foil container made me think risotto at a closer-to-soup consistency... and yes, I should probably be able to know what I ate. I pocketed the Milk Bar cookie you can barely see behind the main course for later snacking and instead had a s'more in a cup that I had grabbed on my way out of the Capital One lounge.

Wine service was in the form of mini bottles instead of pouring from a regular bottle (as I've seen in other PP flights). For dessert, I asked if I could get a bourbon on the rocks; the FA appeared with minis of Buffalo Trace and Jack Daniels, asked which one I wanted (the former) and then "one or two?" (two--I mean, why not when you have another five hours to go in a pressurized tube?).

The breakfast options were an egg-and-kale pastry or a waffle dish, and I picked savory over sweet because I remembered enjoying that as a breakfast in domestic F years ago. It lived up to that memory and I appreciated having a warm croissant--even if it came in that ovenable plastic and left me wondering why they couldn't have offered a warm roll with dinner.
