1. It seems like every single FF blog on Earth the last 18 months or so has published MULTIPLE articles about how "cheap" the TK program is/was. I think that this plus the fact that, 2) Most major programs in the US and Europe have severely devalued their programs over the same period, either by raising rates, making status more difficult, or both, made Tk feel that they have to do this right now and in this manner. I hate it, but that is a fact.

Worse for those of us who actually fly TK very frequently, especially upfront and on high(er) fares have seen devaluation after devaluation. We are earning in some cases less than half of what we used to earn for premium tickets, the miles expire, even if one is top tier and regularly flying, and overall it is a pretty poor job that they are doing.
