My wife and I were seated in Premium recently when I realized two seats in F were available. So because we were #1,2 on the waitllist, I requested the upgrade for us. The FA told us that only the GAs had the authority to issue the upgrades. I told him the door was still open, so he contacted the GAs. Two of them showed up and gave us the seats. The upgrade list was never updated though, nor was our reservation.
