(1) I am somewhat saddened by the fact that the only consequence of actual miles flown is with respect to Million Miler. Part of the allure and fun of FF programs had been the mileage factor.

(2) It seems Delta does not offer any line-item accounting of your Million Miler total. All you see is your MM balance. So, yeah, I can keep track of it and see how much it was incremented after I fly, but why not offer an accounting of it?

(3) I'd like to see Delta somehow acknowledge significant waypoints on the way to 1 million miles, maybe accompanied by a token award. When I was in my 20s and started traveling for work a few times a year, the very notion of flying a million miles with one airline over the course of my life was something I couldn't even contemplate; it would be like thinking that I would travel on a spaceship someday. Why not at least send an email or a physical mailing accompanied by a trivial award at lifetime milestones like 100,000 miles, 250,000 miles, 500,000 miles, 750,000 miles etc? Doing such would plant the idea that "yeah, hey, maybe I could get to 1 million miles in my life", and communicate, "Hey, Delta seems to have taken notice of me and appreciates me". "Trivial awards" could be something like drink vouchers, a small RDM bonus (e.g., 1,000 or 5,000), a $50 gift card, or maybe a one-day SkyClub voucher.
