I do not know how long you have been on these boards but I and I think many would advise that you call again and perhaps again, and again until you receive a positive response. That is all you really can hope for now that it is has been quite evident that Marriott is quite tightly adhering to the no extension rule.

The other thing I would point out is that one should never leave such an important request to the very last minute with only a few days left before the expiration of the certificate.
