The queues in peak holiday season can be large if you don’t have UK/EU passport (or the few others) or with little kids. I’ve certainly stood in T3 queue behind an A380 from Dubai for quite a while.
One may also not wish to walk distance either because don’t want to or find it challenging. So a car is easier and quicker. Now you may say book BA assistance services but that’s a fairly painful experience.
Also FWIW I only know of and have seen regular celebrity, politician and uhnw users. Not sure what corporate would pay for it tbh. I’m sure some do!
