Just wanted to update you now that I have left Shanghai. Everything worked the way that you had described. I was a bit skeptical that it would end up being this easy to set up, but it was! I brought some RMBs with me, but didn't have to use them. My CSR linked to AP worked the whole time! It was still good to have RMBs in my bag as an emergency backup though.
