Normal life in Israel is hardly affected. I gather even in the "peaceful time" you do not travel to Gaza to use your 85K cert. So what difference does it make, to you?
Tell that to the 80,000 or so individuals who have had to evacuate Kiryat Shmona and other Northern border towns, and of course those countless others that are/were from towns in the South bordering Gaza. Moreover, Israel is still subject to rocket attacks from Gaza and artillery and other fire from Lebanon. Fortunately, to my knowledge, no missiles from Yemen have as yet landed in Israel.
True, the entirety of Gaza is a war zone, but it is no walk in the park in Israel either.
