One reason is that they initially asked me to pay a fee to change my second ticket (TPE-HKG-XXX), which will be costly. Therefore, I was reluctant to do it. I thought TPE transit costs much less than 90 min. It turned out that it only took me 10 min to go through the transit procedure at TPE.
