I used to work in the Sherry when I was a senior in high school (wow, was that a long time ago). Nowadays, whenever my wife and I want a treat, we go to NYC for a weekend and spend it at the Waldorf.

Now matter what other hotels there are in NY, the grand old lady will always be the best (of course, that is just our opinion - but it is opinions you are seeking!).
