that's the worst frequent flyer news this year so far ...

on the site is also an explanation how award prices are set up .... instead of a origin-destination mileage value you now have to add segment based prices.

earlier NUE-IST-JFK business promo was 45.000 miles oneway - now it is NUE-IST (25.000 miles business promo) plus IST-JFK (65.000 miles business promo) - and that is oneway
in regular C-award pricing it would be NUE-IST (40.000 miles oneway) plus IST-JFK (135.000 miles oneway) = 175.000 miles (from 115.000 miles previously)




They have gone insane
