I thought OP was asking if Union Station is in the LAX free drop zone, which it is.

I am noticing that, if I were to depart/arrive Los Angeles via the Amtrak Coast Starlight, the car rental counters at BUR are an apparently very short walking distance from an Amtrak stop. Moving your transfer point to BUR, unless you have some other business in downtown LA, could save gas, time, walking distance and aggravation. Has anyone done this? Do any other trains stop there?

A:As of 2022 Amtrak only stops at BUR ("Bob Hope Airport") southbound according to this post. I assume what happened is lots of people did this and the Amtrak stop doesn't have sufficient passenger capacity. Boo hoo. Burbank officials should complain.
