Well I think my gamble might have been in vain. I had been tracking my IAD->LHR plans closely and every Tuesday had award availability open up for at least one, if not both, of my preferred flights, once we got within the 30-day window. This Tuesday came and went and now on Wednesday there’s no award availability showing even with significant vacancy in the business class cabin for the March 5 United flights. Now I need to figure out what to do as a plan B, if I want to pay the cash rate or hope award space opens at some point…. Any experience here?
