I flew EWR-DEN on 1/12 and back in 1/13.

I got my upgrade 3 days out for the outbound, and on the return I was number 12 out of 51 for an upgrade! The gate agent (who was very nice) told me that there were 51 elite's on the flight. Two lucky plats got EUA'd and I was lucky enough to snag 14A on the 735 flight back, the exit row seat with no seat in front of you.

Have they ever boarded elite's by their status when there are so many? Seems to me on flights like that, having the plats go first, golds second, etc. might make some sense, instead of the mad scramble we had boarding.
