Credit flights of one booking to multiple FF programs
Will it work to credit the individual flights of one booking (PNR is directly with QR) to different frequent flyer programs? Or would that somewhere get screwed up or one points claim would update the whole booking?
I didn't put any FF membership into the booking and was thinking to afterwards just use the "Missing points" claim functions of the airlines to credit the flights retrospectively.
I want to credit the very first leg to Qantas, and all others to Virgin Australia.
I don't need the first flight in any of the programs for status requalification. Just the first one is worth more in Qantas (even if just mere 80 credits) as it counts for lifetime gold, where I'm exceptionally close now.
The other flights will be in March, which just happens to be the next status year for Virgin, so this pushes status requalification significantly already (as I fly paid Business and we are 2 and Virgin allows pooling so that my partner's credits go into my account). I don't want these to go to Qantas, as I'm not going to bother much with them any further and have a booking already that will get me the remaining status points for lifetime gold later this year.
If there's a good chance that this gets screwed up I will just credit everything to VA, but if can achieve the split that's a bit better.
Thanks for the insights if anyone has.
