Even with access to both of them, and with Soho’s relatively new improved a la carte menu, 8 hours stuck in T8 sounds pretty miserable. If I were you I’d take the LIRR into the city or Brooklyn, or even explore Queens. But to each their own.
It hasn't been cute but I've been getting work done... with a cocktail. I've been to and lived in NYC many a time, so unlike other cities, I didn't feel some immense need to explore. Plus, I'm exhausted from the SFO-CLT redeye. At least I'll sleep on the way to Sao Paulo with ZERO concern... hopefully didn't just jinx myself.
