AC's network and interline agreements are often worth the premium they charge. One time I got stranded in Boston due to weather (incoming flight cancelled), they were able to book me on the next flight to LGA on Delta then YUL on United then YYZ on Air Canada. Porter customers next door were told good luck and see your tomorrow.
Did I tell the story of a random February day last year AC cancelled all flights from YVR to YYC before a snowstorm?
I flew Flair YXX to YYC that day to catch an important flight (from AC, no less). To add injury to insult, Flair’s YVR to YYC flight later that day actually was also operated and almost on time.
