Re the train - the train (ie Cercanías) does indeed go from T4 only. The Metro goes from both terminals. One may be more convenient than the other depending on your final destination in the city. There are also two express buses.
Many thanks, T4 it is so I will give Iberia a try next time, though this week I will be flying in for the first time and landing at T2.
From what I've gathered the train is much faster than the metro, though as you mentioned it only leaves from T4 and will have limited coverage. Btw are taxis still capped at 30 Euro for getting to the city? My hotel is close to the Palos de la Frontera metro station so not sure if any surcharges would be added on top of any regular fee.
