They said that if your card expiry currently shows later than 31/3/25 you will retain that.

I accept this goes against everything on BA.com though.

(unless you mean TP year and not card year, in which case you are right)
For anyone else looking at the prior 28 pages trying to see where the idea that current post-March 2025 card expiry dates will be honoured comes from. Hopefully BA will adjust the FAQ tomorrow to clarify .

EDIT:

If anyone is friendly with BA then adjusting their per-month examples to be one of these or similar might help:
  • Your current Tier Point Collection Year will continue as normal until 8 October 2024
  • [Add one of]
    • Any Tier status you receive before 8 October 2024 will be valid until 30 November 2025 (including the current grace period) or until you qualify for a higher tier under the new structure
    • Any Tier status you receive before 8 October 2024 will expire on 30 April 2025 (unless you requalify under the new structure)
  • [Futher edit inspired by Ldnn1]
  • Your next collection / transition period will be 9 October 2024 - 31 March 2025
  • Tier Point Adjustment: We'll add on any total the Tier Points you earn between 1 April 2024 - 31 March 2025 to work out your new Tier status
  • Any Your new Tier status you receive during the transition period will expire on 30 April 2026
