I don't think forumites are struggling with the concept of TPs counting twice, but more with the concept of what happens with status earned under existing TP years. This is because BA have been absolutely and completely unclear about this.

I'm posting below what HfP have added to their article today. I think - based on all my reading today - that this is wrong or at least incomplete, because it is conflating *status granted* after 1 Apr 2024 with *TPs earned* after 1 Apr 2024.

What's your view on whether it matters to the example below, whether all 1,500 TPs were earned after 1 Apr 2024? My thinking is that it matters, but the article suggests it doesn't.

Basically, I think we are all agreed that if Jane earns 1,500 TPs between 1 Apr and 8 Dec 2024, that will get her status to Apr 2026. The question is what about if some of those TPs were earned before 1 Apr 2024.
