Only just got the email and thought it would be busy on here. Bit naughty of BA to announce this after people most likely booked things for the year in the Jan 'sale'.

We have a tale of two halves in the house from this change. One account that is due to end 8th Oct already has some trips booked which originally meant requalifying for silver. Since they fall in the double benefit period means she will now requalify to April 2026 instead, without doing anything more.

The other account (mine!) with 8th June end will requalify for gold from a trip next week. I have nothing planned for April / May and the already booked trips + additional ones I do after to requalify, will only give gold for 9th months. Seriously thinking of letting it fall back to Silver and starting again in April 2026 for gold again. BAH double tier point offer extension might sway me more to go for the 9 months gold
