Since the airbridge was in place, the door could be opened, and the baggage at least dealt with, but it was game over for that aircraft and captain, at least for the flight. The captain should have waited a couple of minutes, that was the root cause, it's not the right way to do things.
if thats correct, the captain will have a well deserved meeting without biscuits. It’s an incredibly stupid approach and could have ended with someone being injured. It’s almost like there are procedures for a reason. Tbh my disbelief is that I can’t believe a BA captain would be that daft.
