Here is a closer one. A customer orders a Rolex Daytona needed for a trade show with delivery set for a Friday. The factory after receiving payment and agreeing to the shipment terms is unable to ship due to a shortage of staff and boxes at the agreed time. They end up selling the last Daytona earmarked for you at a discounted rate to an employee and offer you a DateJust at the same price for deliver a day later. The other option is to wait several months for the Daytona you paid for well after the trade show date you specifically purchased the item for. Or you can just accept the lesser priced DateJust at a later date and chalk it up to being lucky to have received anything at all.
