There is an expectation of proactive monitoring at all customer contact points with the idea being the gate is the last opportunity, but every opportunity to ‘intercept’ non-compliant (with policy) hand baggage either Landside or Airside prior to reaching the boarding gate by directing pax to the the bag drops of landside, the ready to fly desks in connections or the T5A customer service desks if airside.
