I need to think this through as a normally April 9th ender but all I can think of is much busier Exec Club reps / lines at end of March rather than spread throughout the year. As well as potentially much quieter lounges every April, when people drop down until status promotions happen throughout the year. What an odd thing to do.
This was my first thought too... it makes running tier point promotions much easier and potentially more rewarding for people like AMEX, as everyone will be in the same period of their collection year?
