mia gives good advice. I can only add that all my AU Amex cards have been sent to me, the primary. Years ago I asked to send to alternate address and was told no. I’d recommend accepting the AU card via post and then sending it onward. And they did require a SSN, which had to be provided at signup or within a few weeks. Mia suggested there might be an alternative; I hope so.
I think AU card will be charged to you on the date of issue for the full annual fee. My AUs in the past have been charged to me on issue/anniversary date (different than my AF due date). But I admit I don’t have info on current rules since I haven’t added an AU since before the big deval.
