Using the KrisFlyer Silver or Gold Lounge?

I am transferring at Changi from a UA flight to a TG flight. I was hoping to grab a shower during my layover. I am Star Alliance Gold member and I am flying Business Class on United and on Thai Airways. Will Singapore Airlines let me in their lounge, as a Star Alliance Gold member ato either their Gold or Silver lounge, since Thai Airlines does not have a lounge at Changi any longer. Any other suggestions?
