Those sound pretty basic (no lawyers required). The DL Amex Reserve card has only ever worked with Delta Sky Clubs and has never provided access to partner lounges (years ago, an SC membership would get you in partner lounges, but not the Reserve card as it's only an "access" benefit). Also not sure why you thought a C+ seat alone would get you in (not even PS fares are eligible for lounge access on their own).
