I have no idea how you reached the conclusion that I don't want it. I am used to being asked if I want it, and it seems that the 'mobile device checkouts' always generated one (perhaps that's the Enterprise software tie-in,) but them automatically sending one from the booth without asking is a change. A change that I didn't originally say was positive or negative. That said, if anything, this is a positive, as it gets me on the road one question sooner than it used to.

I have them ask me if "I want to keep this on the card on file" which has been standard for years.
Me too. (Or something along those lines, sometimes repeating the last 4# back to me, but not always.) That's why I thought my experience last week was notable.

No company is ever going to make everyone happy, and your post proves my point.
I have no idea where you get that I'm not happy, and I have no idea what I 'proved.' The auto-sending of the rental agreement is fine. It wasn't bothering me then, and it's not bothering me now. The credit card thing last week didn't bother me, either. Confused me a bit, as it wasn't what I was used to hearing, but one is not a sample size, so I don't yet have enough information to be 'unhappy.' (And I would hope that me deleting the backup card invalidated the experiment, meaning I'll never hear anything on that again.)
