yes, although I more often than not, DO enter the rental reservations for AutoSlash to track, including those I booked myself, I methodically periodically check prices myself, once or twice a week. Lower alert prices from AutoSlash I receive usually are either for companies I have no interested in renting from, or prepaid quotes (mostly from Thrifty or Dollar, which I am quite willing to consider if I'm close to the pickup date). *Although on a particular reservation you can direct what companies you do not want follow up quotes from, that's on a reservation by reservation basis (which is a pain in the butt having to re-enter that info each time), but Autoslash has resisted ever setting up master accounts in which you could enter your preferences one time, that would thereafter apply to all reservations that you are either requesting for a quote, or asking them to track).
Sure was easier before this latest step by Hertz and its subs, put the quash on what AutoSlash was doing before... and least not forget the "quash" that many of the airlines put on AwardWallet for miles/point reporting... still not happy 'bout that either!
