I'm on this flight in a couple of weeks. A few questions:
- Which red did you pair with the steak? That Bordeaux looks outstanding. I know the Shiraz, did you try the Rioja?
- How was the steak cooked?
- Any dessert wine or Port recommendations? I think they have the Frapin cognac at the bar, yes?
The soup was astonishingly tasty - I figured miso and edamame would be fairly bland but it woke the tastebuds very nicely.
I had the Shiraz with the steak and didn't try toe Bordeaux or the Rioja. A couple of us were making sure to have all the Armand de Brignac, which we did. They load two bottles of it in each direction, incidentally, so it wasn't like we had too much each, considering others also had some.
The steak was well done, it certainly wasn't medium. It fell apart to the knife quite easily, so it wasn't overdone or dry. I didn't try the dessert wine or Port. I may get a chance on the return, hopefully, considering this will be the first flight of two.
