Thanks in advance,
If you go through the process of making a flight only booking, chose your mixed cabins (F out, J return), then at the screen confirming the total cost you get the option to add a car or hotel. You can then click “View all flight and hotel options” and you get moved across to a BAHs screen with your previously chosen flights moved across into it.
I’ve used this method to book mixed classes for a BAHs booking i.e. F out CW return, which isn’t possible if you start the booking process using the “Flight + Hotel/Car” option. I also did this to book a BAH (same cabin both ways) just a couple of weeks ago because for some reason there was a better selection of flight options for my domestic connections starting the process as a flight only booking over using the “Flight + Hotel” option on the home screen. They are definitely a BAHs booking as you can pay just a deposit, the BAH bonus Avios are mentioned in both the website when booking and in the e-ticket receipt email and the contact details at the bottom of the e-ticket receipt are for BAHs.
What wouldn’t count as a BAH is booking and paying for in full your mixed cabin flights only then clicking on the link in MMB to add a hotel.
