The only GOOD thing about CX, IB, BA and QF offering different QM in different fare classes is it shows they can't agree how a toilet seat works, so hopefully your scenario will never happen.

That said, I agree it would be nice to see 'consistency' across all the OW airlines. However, I somehow have a sinking feeling that that wouldn't necessarily work to our benefit (e.g., we'd suddenly find ourselves only getting the BA-like 25% credit on discount economy tickets on all OW airlines - including AA....)
