I'm sorry, but I have little sympathy. This isn't bait and switch, where they are told that they'll be making $150K to start. They know the deal going in. It's their choice. If they can't support themselves or their family on what they make, perhaps this was a sub-optimal career choice for them. But it is their choice. No one's forcing them to become cabin crew.

That said, of course they should be treated respectfully. Their employer should stand behind them on that.
