Qatar's not-so-5-star cabin crews

Whilst this thread will focus on my bad experiences with Qatar's cabin crews in over 10 flights during the past year, I will intentionally not be disclosing any specifics about the actual flight, date, etc. that may lead them to lose their jobs. Overall, I haven't had a single QR cabin crew who was unprofessional, but I have to judge them following the expectations of a 5-star airline.

Examples of bad service in F and J:
- Not smiling and not once saying thank you on flights exceeding 12 hours
- Extremely long waiting periods to get drinks and meals
- Leaving dirty dishes and utensils for 30-60 minutes
- Complete lack of proactivity (e.g., seeing empty drinks and not offering refills)
- Clear signs of being annoyed when J passengers use galleys to cross over lavatories on different sides
- Nonverbal communication when requesting F&B items instead of verbally acknowledging the request(s)
- Being unprepared when boarding starts resulting in cabin crew running back and forth whilst passengers are asked to wait on the jetbridge

Generally, in my experience, the Asian, Egyptian, and Middle Eastern male cabin crews have been the worst, doing the bare minimum and not attentive at all. I have also had many disappointing experiences with QR's female cabins, though I must say that for the most part, the Asian and Serbian female cabin crews have been great.

I can completely understand that QR's cabin crew may be experiencing a tough time after several rounds of firings that were perceived to be highly unfair (e.g., based on the comments of a despicable blogger like Josh Cahil known for lacking any sense of honesty or due to highly questionable situations such as accusing cabin crew of being sex workers without any evidence), yet at the same time, I find their work to have so many deficiencies that simply aren't acceptable for a 5-star airline. I have heard many flyers here commenting that Qatar's cabin crews may feel that they only work for Qatar because better airlines like SQ wouldn't take them, but given the fact that there is such a limited number of 5-star airlines, there is no reason for QR's cabin crews not to feel immense pride working for their airline.

Please share your thoughts. Thank you, QR flyers!
