Never had other than minor egate issues previously. Rocked up at LHR T3 with my newly renewed UK passport and it is no good - seek assistance lady just flexes the passport a bit and says try again.Still no good. Rather than go to (find?) reject desk decide to try US passport. Works first time. Are they going to figure I bucked the system and flag me for the future or will nobody care and I am ok to repeat this tactic if need be. btw US passport also just renewed with the exact same photo.
