Want to make sure this transfer timing would work. Looking at potentially flying United DEN>FRA, then Croatian FRA>DBV next June (single award ticket). Connection time in FRA is 1h5min. United arrives T1 A19(ish) and Croatian goes out A21(ish). I understand from this thread our luggage will go right through to DBV, and we don't need to clear transfer security since all in T1 A gates (Schengen) - assuming we will only do security checks at final destination.
1h5min seems fine in this case, barring any delays. Would you agree/disagree?
Alternative is flying LH from DEN>MUC, then LH from MUC>DBV...that connection has either a 2h20 layover or a 4h10 layover, both of which will work for sure. In fact, these are actually the flights I am hoping to book given the longer layovers, but usually LH business awards only become available about 3-10 days out. If the United award becomes available first, I may just grab it to have a bird in the hand to fly J on the overnight. Just want to double check that the connection time at FRA as described above would not be an issue under normal, non-delayed circumstances (e.g., unless there's a meaningful delay getting to FRA from DEN), which would make it a viable option for us as we keep tabs on award availability.
