I recently accepted an upgrade offer for vanilla gold into a platinum, so I was planning to cancel if the retention offer was bad. But between the $100 Schwab loyalty bonus and the 50k points, it’s worth it for me to keep this card and just downgrade the vanilla platinum after 13 months.
