Stayed Thursday night. They gave a nice upgrade to one of the turret rooms looking over Waverley. Lovely room which was pretty clean, always a bonus for the Carlton

The vast majority of the reception area is closed off along with the 1st floor on what was the bar/lounge side. I did get a laugh at the Poundland like lights added to the plasterboard corridor.

Lounge service was in the Marco Pierre White restaurant. Usual drinks selection, the food was fairly terrible and not topped up. Unsure if the lounge is available during the day given where it's now located?
They've moved the bar to an area behind the Marco Pierre White restaurant which I think was an events space.

Outside of reception, relocated lounge/bar, and the out of service lift they have kept what looks to be like fairly major works quite unnoticeable. I didn't hear any noise in the room or elsewhere. Good thing since they offer no warning to guests of the works on the website or anywhere else when booking.
