I am trying to use my companion certificate on a route that has D1 (JFK-LAX). The issue is that since you can no longer book D1 with your first class companion cert, the app is forcing me to try book first class by only offering results for first class. It won’t even allow me to just do a L/U/T/X/V fare in main cabin for $350. All I want to do is use the first class companion cert and book in main cabin. The value is just fine and I am PM so we both would just clear to C+ right away anyway
The results I am being given are basically JFK -> DTW/MSP/SLC —> LAX.
Anyone experiencing this so far??
I have an existing itin with a different origin/dest booked with a Reserve Cert and it is letting me select non-stop JFK-LAX flights in L/U/T/X/V classes through "Change Flights" option. Interestingly, it seems to think it is only a Plat Cert even though I used a Reserve Cert on original itin (I don't even have a Plat card).
