Exclamation Downgraded due to incorrect BA Hols bonus allocation

Hi all. New here, but was recommended to share by a friend. Wondering if anyone has similar experiences / any advice.

My BAEC membership year runs Dec to Dec, and in 2023 I earned 1605 points, so I expected to retain gold. But I've just been notified I've been downgraded to silver.

I'm pretty sure that what happened is this: on 7th to 12th Dec 2022 I did a 180 TP return flight, as part of a BA Hols trip which was eligible for double TP. The bonus hit my account on 21st Dec. So the original flights' TP credited outward against my 2022 year and return against my 2023 year, but the bonus all credited to my 2023 year. That's how I understood it - and I spoke to BA on the phone at the time to confirm this. They were clear that's how it worked (and articles in places like HfP indicated that too). So all 180 bonus TP were shown in my balance throughout 2023, hence I was confident they were being included in my TP balance for 2023, and counting towards my requalification.

Indeed, my TP reset in Dec 2023 was -1605 TP, which is plenty to requalify. But they seem to have downgraded me. Even if the bonus TP for the outward flight weren't counted (since the flight was in the previous membership year), my total would have been 1515, so I should be gold. But they seem to have discounted all 180 bonus TP, which is totally wrong.

Anyone had the same issue? Thanks!
