While getting old airframe wise, there is something special about the 757 that a 737 doesn't conjure. Probably more to do with that it is a sports car of passenger planes and now we are in the era of pure economics design. Probably akin to flying a 747 before most of them departed passenger fleets. The 757 won't be with us that much longer with the A321XLR and, if, Boeing ever certifies MAX10.
